About The Principal
Marlene Horton, our new Vice Principal for grades 4 – 7 wants everyone in our Global Bilingual school family to know how happy she is to be here and how much she looks forward to serving the students, families, and her colleagues this coming school year. She has looked forward to Kuwait since her first visit in 2014 and is looking forward to a very positive experience for all.
Ms. Marlene was born and raised in the state of Michigan in the United States, and spent more than 30 years and most of her professional career in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. Marlene and her husband had four children.

Welcome all students and parents to the new school year!
I am excited to serve the students, families, and staff at Global Bilingual Academy (GBA) as your acting Principal and Vice Principal for children in grades 4 through 7.
This is a year of change at GBA. Returning parents will find some new procedures, new teachers and new school leaders. GBA is a school that puts children’s education and their welfare first. This is what brought me here – the opportunity to work with our amazing children, families and the Global Bilingual faculty and staff.
At GBA we are a team – a school family – a community of learners. We want you to feel this way as well. Your child’s education is a partnership between school and home. We will utilize the Common Core standards from the United States and current teaching methods to help your child learn about the world around them. Your child will gain the academic and social skills that will serve your child through life in the 21st Century.
Learning how to learn is even more important in today’s changing world than ever before. We aim to help your child develop strong skills for learning – while they learn their various subjects. To help your child learn to navigate the mountains of new information available to them, we very much appreciate your support at home as we all work together to help your children work toward their learning goals.
Thank you for trusting us with the education and well-being of your child. It is our pleasure to serve our students and families at Global Bilingual Academy.
