Our second parent workshop was on December 16, titled “Getting the best out of your child” revolved around this topic.   •       Grandparents Day     Grandparents are very important people in your child’s life.  Grandparents are our heritage and are essential members of our families and communities.  So, we are having a special celebration to honor them.   •   DASMAN DIABETES INSTITUTE AND HARVARD UNIVERSITY SCHOOL ELECTRONIC RECORD PROJECT   Global Bilingual Academy School will participate in an important research project run by Dasman Diabetes Institute and Harvard University. The project aims to improve the health of GBAS students as well as the overall health of children of Kuwait and eventually throughout the world. The purpose of the study is to collect and document health information that will help us to understand better our students’ health and allow for early diagnosis and prevention of diseases, particularly diabetes.   Members of research team will be at the school to…

  •   GBAS Reading week       On Sunday, November 23rd, 2014 Global Bilingual Academy will start its first Reading Week Festivities. This year’s theme will be “Tell me a tale!” Students will be encouraged to find the joy in reading and throughout the week; they will participate in various activities that facilitated this affinity. On Wednesday and Thursday, students will dress up as Characters from the book the teacher chose and parade around the show on stage; where parents will have the chance to attend to watch their children.   •         Play Nice! Be Safe   Bullying is an ongoing problem in schools all over the world. It is a serious issue that may affect students’ emotional health and have a serious damaging impact on their learning.  Our mission at GBAS is to provide a safe and nurturing learning environment where our children can develop and grow. Achieving these goals means a ZERO TOLERANCE policy for bullying. Bullying is NOT accepted in our school. It will be between Global Bilingual Academy School, Future Bilingual School and Al-Resala Bilingual School.
